An impressive line-up of 56 travel retail industry executives will be participating in the ‘Miles for Smiles’ fun run in Dubai on 22 November to raise funds for cleft charity The Smile Train.

The effort has already raised US$25,000 in August.

It costs just US$250 to fund the life-changing 45-minute operation that transforms a child’s life in developing countries.

The Moodie Report, the leading travel retail online publication is an active campaigner since 2006.

Last year, together with Hugo Boss, they have successfully organised a travel retail industry fund-raising dinner in Hong Kong which raised over US$350,000.

This initiative makes ME smile too. The fact that the transparency and close relation of donation to deed are noted is surely a great thing! I'd like to know more about the train though...
